This Friday, 29 of January, to 10,30 h, the Teatro Real of Madrid will offer in direct the opera for marionettes, composed by Manuel de Falla, the altarpiece of Maese Pedro , an exciting spectacle realised by the Group et cetera, one of the most prestigious factories of puppets of Spain, directed by Enrique Lanz, whose grandfathers were the author of the original dolls ordered by Fault for the opening of the work in Paris
Realised with giant marionettes of more than seven meters of height, inspired faithfully by the original one worn for the first time in 1923, and with a putting in scene that uses the resource of the theater within the theater, fiction and reality they are mixed in a unique proposal.
The spectacle, that counts on the collaboration of Spanish Cultural Action (AC/E), will be relayed to all the scholastic, national and international centers, that want to be united to this commemorative act of the fourth centenary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes. The musical direction is in charge of Josep Vicent, who in this occasion will put itself to the front of the Young Orchestra of the Community of Madrid (JORCAM) and a distribution formed by Isidro Anaya, Gerardo L³pez and Marisa Martins. The interpreters offer their voice from the scene to the gigantic characters who develop the action.
The altarpiece of Maese Pedro is a production of Teatro Real in co-production with the Gran Teatre of the Liceu of Barcelona, Friendly the Bilbao Association of pera (ABAO), the Theater Arsenal of Seville, the Foundation Opera of Oviedo, the Foundation Calder³n Theater of Valladolid and the Company et cetera (with the collaboration of the Meeting of Andalusia).
